A CHURCH FOR ALL

Court Street is committed to being a church that includes all people, regardless of any status. We don't just tolerate our diversity. We celebrate it. Our church is full of people from a variety of ages, races, economic backgrounds, and family arrangements. People with mental or physical disabilities are an active part of the church's life, alongside people with histories of addiction and incarceration. We believe the Holy Spirit has made Court Street the amazingly beautiful, diverse, and graceful community it is today.

Court Street is a very friendly congregation, and we take ample time to "Pass the Peace of Christ" during worship, because we consider it a vital part of our fellowship in light of God's grace. You may be pushed out of your comfort zone when you visit, which may be exactly what God wants for you.

Our beliefs are founded in the rich history of this local church and the United Methodist Church. We firmly believe in the statement of the United Methodist Church saying Open Hearts, Open Doors, and Open Minds. This is why you find it as part of our logo.

All are truly welcome here.

Our local church adopted this mission statement many years ago as they see it to encompass the overall feelings of our church. To read our entire mission statement click the button above.
